Description
1" Anti-Shock Potable Water Air Valve (DNS-1"-TF-AS-BSP-KARS-SOB)
The DNS-1"-TF-AS-BSP-KARS-SOB is a special anti-shock version of the DNS air valve range, designed to ensure proper system operation in any circumstance by avoiding the sudden impact between the water surface and the float, with consequent slow closing. It ensures the entrance of large volumes of air during pipe filling and draining, and air release during working conditions.
Features:
• Body in ductile cast iron (GJS 500-7), PN 40 bar rated, with internal ribs for consistent, accurate guiding of the mobile block.
• Integrated drainage / ball valve for chamber control and pressure relief during maintenance.
• Mobile block of a cylindrical float and upper disk in solid polypropylene, joined by the DNS air release system in AISI 316 (pat. pending).
• Nozzle and gasket holder entirely in AISI 316, with gasket compression control to prevent ageing and consequent leakage during working conditions.
• Anti water hammer (AS) system, never in contact with water, using a stainless steel spring and shaft with an adjustable sonic-nozzle disk for air flow control.
• Threaded outlet elbow to avoid spray effect, conveying closure spurts away from the valve and allowing operation during flood without contaminated water entering the pipeline.
• Fitted with a Y strainer to prevent debris and solids reaching the air release system and seat.

Pipeline risers, high-rise buildings, and irrigation and treated-water pumping stations.
